I needed something that I could quickly put over the cockpit when at shows, etc.; and I needed something to put on the car when doing an overnighter, i.e, at an hotel.

So, not finding one that I liked, or one that would fit properly, and not wanting to pay an eyewatering amount for a fancy, overpriced Cobra logo'd one, I decided to make one...

...and not wanting to make the project too intimidating or complicated, I bought a generic waterproof 'universal fit' half-cover, anti-UV, all-weather protection, from Amazon (23 quid). Then I got serious with the scissors and a sewing machine. 

The '1/2' cover, as supplied, had massive mirror pockets, which I took off, and I crafted a couple of slots for the mirrors to poke through. No issue with rain as I made a flap to cover the opening.

I also attached some elastic straps: one for each back wheel, one for the boot handle, and one each to attach to the exhausts. Heat is not a problem as (🤞) I've never had to put it on as soon as arriving anywhere.

Very pleased with the result, and have used the cover many times, and it has really saved the day. 👌
