Soft Top (1/2 Cover)
I needed something quick that I could put over the cockpit when at shows, etc., and something to put on the car when leaving it overnight somewhere, e.g. the hotel when doing an overnighter...
So, not finding one that I liked, or having to pay an eyewatering amount for a fancy Cobra one, I decided to make one.
I bought a generic waterproof half cover; anti-UV, all-weather protector, universal fit, from Amazon (23 quid); and got serious with scissors and a sewing machine.
As supplied [from Amazon], the 1/2 top had massive mirror pockets, which I took off, and I made a slot for the mirrors to poke through. No issue with rain as I made a flap to cover the opening.
I also attached some elastic straps; one for each back wheel, one for the boot handle, and one each to attach to the exhaust (heat is not too much of a problem (๐ค) as I've never had to put it on as soon as arriving anywhere.
Have used the cover many times, and it has really saved the day. ๐
